Job Description

-Technical Expertise-

Comprehensive experience within Metaswitch Networks product suite, specifically their UC solutions, with a focus on their HPBX platform (required)

Experience with Coredial hosted voice platform (required)

Experience with Edgewater Networks devices (Edgemarc IADs (required) and Edgeconnect switches (preferred))

Experience managing IP phones in a hosted environment (Polycom Soundpoint/station, Polycom VVX, and Aastra (required))

Experience working with other various SIP endpoints in a hosted environment (ATAs, cordless bases, alerters, etc. (required)

Experience working with Cisco switches (required) and other various switch and security appliance vendors (preferred)

Working knowledge of the following protocols as applies to Hosted VoIP deployments (SIP, RTP, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP, FTP, SSL, LLDP-MED, CDP, NTP, SSH, PPTP, IPv4) (required)

Fundamental knowledge of SIP trunking (required) and extensive SIP diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (preferred)

Fundamental knowledge of SIP endpoint provisioning and troubleshooting capability (required)

MS Excel experience (required) (extensive Excel macro skills preferred)

-Working Conditions-

Must be open to flexible work hours (cutovers generally takes place outside of business hours, weekends possible)

Must be open to overtime work hours – 24/7 availability (must be available every weekday during business hours to support customers and do front end work, in addition to before or after business hours for daily cutovers)

-Personal Skills-

Excellent verbal and written communication skills (must be able to patiently assist non-technical end users through complex tasks over the phone)

Competent teaching skills (Must be capable of conducting professional training sessions with end users over the phone)

Self-Starter (must be able to research online knowledge bases and manuals to find answers to vendor specific questions)

Problem solving, organizational, and multi-tasking skills are a must.
